Welcome
There comes a pivotal point in our lives we begin to start questioning our decisions, our interactions and relationships with others, and our emotional well-being that leads us to having difficulty regulating our daily thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Hardships and emotional pain follow us like our own shadow contributing to the way we think, feel, and act. I firmly believe early childhood experiences, complex and secondary trauma, daily stressors, and life adjustments shape who we are as individuals.

We all deserve a place to have a voice, to be heard, and a safe space "to just be". I help my clients regain emotional honesty, self-compassion, healthier thinking patterns, and secure relationships with the use of evidenced based treatment.

I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Practices, and Psychodynamic therapy. I have specialized training in Early Childhood Mental Health, Relationship-Based and Attachment-Focused modalities, and Gender Affirming Care.

Since 2012, my experience includes working for local mental health agencies in Fresno, California. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development (2009) followed by a Master's Degree in Counseling: Marriage and Family Therapy (2012) from California State University of Fresno. In 2019, I made a decision to move forward with my private practice to continue my passion in helping individuals such as children and adults as well as families and couples.

I have worked with mental health issues ranging from adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and Bi-polar/mood disorders. I also have experience providing gender affirming care to transgender, non-binary/non-conforming, intersex, and those questioning. I am an active member with California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). Since 2021, I have persistently pursued a speciality in Gender Affirming Care and received certification with WPATH as a WPATH SOC 8 certified member in October 2023 to provide Gender Therapy.
I believe it is important to challenge ourselves emotionally and cognitively. The challenges we experience often lead us to a level of vulnerability and/or shame we are afraid of. It is crucial to learn ways of expanding our reflective capacity in hopes to understand our thoughts and choices we make. We owe it to ourselves to learn better ways of living, to practice self-compassion, and deserving of putting ourselves first.
